Classes get over by 2pm, rumors of trim II result declaration continue, just like the past few days.
By 4.30 no signs of results. Hopes of results being displayed today fade away.
@ 5.15: Confirmation of result being declared in 30 mins. Goose bumps time ;)
Results displayed @ 6 :-|
Miss d Psychological barrier of GPA 3.00... got 2.99 :P
Still recovering from d shock of results, I head home around 7pm from Vile parle, reach home @ Borivali by 8.35pm.
Need to leave home by 9.30pm to be on d safest side; To catch a train to Solapur @ 10.55pm schedule departure from Dadar (CR). Going to Solapur for my Bro’s wedding d next day!
Have to pack my bag from scratch, have dinner, shave n get ready for d journey all within 55-60 mins or so... Mom n Dad have already reached to Solapur 3 days ago, so am on my own. Doesn’t seem big a task ;)
finally manage to get all things done by 9.40pm, then I remember, need to carry my pendrive to get d snaps of my bros wedding, need to start my system only to find that pendrive is not empty & need to empty it, for storing any more data. All this takes up another 10 mins or so... Times 9.55pm and I catch a Rick from home to Borivali Station.
Miss d 10pm train from Pft no. 7 @ Borivali, which was my last resort as per my plan earlier. What options do I have now?
I get inside a train @ Pft. No.1, a local starting @ 10.04pm. Just that I miss out its destination... @ 10.03 just out of curiosity I peep out to see the indicator & surprise surprise its a Bandra Fast local... I decide, lets chuck this train n get in another fast train coming from Virar. So I get down and go to Pft. No. 5 to see that d train coming from Virar is a SLOW train :(
2 options left now are : slow train starting from Borivali @ 10.10pm, Pft. No. 2. Or a Fast train coming from Virar to Churchgate, @ 10.14pm Pft. No. 3. Need to reach Dadar (WR) by 10.50pm. Slow train takes usually 40 mins and fast train takes 30-35 mins for Borivali to Dadar.
I decide to take Fast train @ 10.14pm. Local leaves Borivali by 10.14pm sharp. All izz Well until this time ;)
This fast train from Virar is not like usual Virar-Churchgate fast, but stops @ all stations from Borivali to Andheri. And true to its definition, it ALSO STOPS in-between-the-stations. Prolonged stops between, Malad-Goregaon, Goregaon-Jogeswari, leave me in a tizzy. Cant do anything except praying and calling dad to tell him that, will be missing my Train tonight, for the first time in Life, and asking him about alternate options to reach solapur @ that point.
My Bro’s wedding is scheduled @ 8.15am the next day... And I stand to miss it all because of a span of few minutes. Train will make me reach Solapur @ 6.45am and by bus it would be minimum 10.30am, on d condition that I get a bus &which starts around 11.30pm. Seems quite impossible right now!
Its 10.43pm and train leaves from Andheri. I prepare myself for the sprint of my life to catch d train, which might leave, as I enter d platform. Dunno, what happened, but there are no Signals between Andheri-Bandra-Dadar, so no stoppages for d local. Usually it takes around 15 mins to reach from Andheri to Dadar by fast local. But its, 10.55 in my watch and d local enters Dadar (WR) station. So within 12 mins, local has reached from Andheri to Dadar.
I jump onto d Pft. No. 4 @ Dadar (WR), and begin d sprint towards Dadar (CR) Pft. No. 4. Normal time for distance would have been 3-4 mins. But, I run, as fast as I can ;)
I stand on Pft. No. 4 @ Dadar (CR), @ 10.56pm in my watch, but its still 10.55pm on Station’s watch. And you guessed it right, I have made it .... Hurray... :D :D :D The Train to Solapur is yet to arrive @ Dadar (CR) ;) Within a half-a-minute d train arrives & it leaves in another 2 mins... I say a BIG THANK YOU TO INDIAN RAILWAYS & GOD, for making d train 3 mins late :P
Its good night time then on :)
P.S.: Had a fabulous wedding day on 23rd Feb ’11 :D :D :D
